China Q2 Review: Insights From On The Ground
Wednesday, July 24, 2024
3:00 pm - 4:00 pm BST (4:00 pm - 5:00 pm CEST)

Entering the second half of 2024, sentiment on the ground in China has improved dramatically. Although some industries, such as real estate, are still under pressure, industries like tourism are booming. Last year, a sleeper 10 million mostly domestic tourists visited Xi'an’s world-famous Terracotta Warriors historic site, up from only 2 million in pre-pandemic 2019. Meanwhile, cost-conscious consumers snapped up deals at a record rate during this year’s 6.18 Sales Festival, an event similar to “Black Friday” in the summer. During the year’s festival, JD and Alibaba rolled out AI-powered tools for shoppers and merchants alike for the first time.

The KraneShares team has returned from multiple trips to China during the second quarter to deliver insights to our clients.

In this webinar, we will discuss:

  • China’s equity market performance in Q2 and its key drivers
  • Takeaways from the “Two Sessions” key policy meetings
  • Takeaways from our research team’s recent visits to China
  • The KWEB volatility suite of ETFs*
  • Comprehensive Q&A
